Welcome to the Department of Economics, Philosophy and Political Science. Through our passionate and versatile faculty, our department offers BA, BSc, MA and PhD programs in Economics, as well as in Political Science and Philosophy. Additionally, our highly competitive PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics) program, is one of the few undergraduate programs of its kind in North America, while our International Relations program explores the dynamics of globalization utilizing interdisciplinary learning. Our department also teaches MA and PhD students through the Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program, with faculty teaching and supervising graduate students in the Global Studies, the Sustainability, and the Power, Conflict and Identity research themes.

Our faculty is committed to both teaching excellence and innovative research, with special attention given to fostering a sense of community through our ongoing outreach efforts. We facilitate a series of annual events, including the Roger Watts Advocacy Debates, the Reichwald Public Policy Symposium, the Applied Ethics Symposium, the annual Roger Gale Symposium, and the Minds and Music event.
